The bottom line

Angi lets you pay per lead, by subscription or by bundle, and doesn’t publish the price of any of them. What it does publish, in its Pro Terms, are the rules that decide the real cost:

  • A subscription is a fixed-term commitment that renews automatically.
  • Angi can raise the subscription fee up to 10% each new term.
  • Ending early may cost an early termination fee. The amount is in your contract.
  • A lead is frequently sent to several other pros.

Before you sign, ask for these in writing

Angi puts the numbers that matter in your contract, not on its site. Ask your sales rep for each one before you agree:

  1. The subscription amount and what it buys (how many leads, or how much lead credit).
  2. The term length and the date it renews.
  3. The early termination fee in dollars, and how it’s worked out.
  4. The price after renewal. The Pro Terms allow up to 10% more each term.
  5. How many pros get each lead in your trade and area.

If a rep can’t give you a number for the termination fee, treat it as unknown risk, and compare with a platform that has no contract.

Getting credits back

Angi’s credit rules sit on its HomeAdvisor pro site. The main points:

  • Credits are at Angi’s discretion. You must ask within 30 days of the charge.
  • They are store credit only, applied to future charges, and expire after six months.
  • They don’t cover a customer who never calls back, hired someone else, was only shopping, or a job you lost.

So if a customer goes quiet or picks someone else, expect to keep paying for that lead. Angi’s lead credit guidelines

Card fees on jobs you get paid through Angi

If homeowners pay you through Angi’s EasyPay, Angi says card processing and convenience fees are 2.99% per transaction. See how that compares with a card reader of your own in our card fee calculator.

Who it’s for, and who should skip it

Good fit: an established crew that wants steady lead flow, can commit to a term, and wins a high share of the leads it calls.

Skip it if: you’re testing whether paid leads work for you, or you can’t absorb a termination fee. A no-contract platform lets you stop any week.

Common questions

How much does Angi charge for leads?

Angi doesn't publish lead prices. Its pro help pages say you pay a fee for each lead you match to, and different sized jobs have different fees. If you take a subscription, the amount and term are set in your onboarding contract, not on a public page.

Can I cancel my Angi subscription?

Angi's Pro Terms say that if you end a subscription before the end of the term in your contract, you may owe an early termination fee. The amount is in your contract, not published. Subscriptions also renew automatically, so note the end date when you sign.

Is Angi worth it for contractors?

It can be if your close rate is high enough to beat the lead fees and you're comfortable with the contract. The risks are in the Pro Terms: leads are often sent to several pros, the subscription fee can rise up to 10% each renewal, and credits are store credit that expires.

Are Angi and HomeAdvisor the same?

For pros, yes. Angi Leads is the former HomeAdvisor, and its lead credit rules and pro help pages still live on pro.homeadvisor.com. In Canada, the Angi family's brand is HomeStars.

How does Angi Leads work for pros?

You tell Angi the type of work you do and the area you serve, and it sends you customer leads that match. You pay a fee for each lead you're matched to, set by the size of the job, either per lead, from a prepaid subscription or as a bundle. A lead is often sent to several other pros, and credits for bad leads come back as store credit.
