Houzz Pro pricing: what it costs per month, and what leads add

Houzz Pro costs $199 a month (Pro) for one user, plus $50 a month for each extra user, or from $399 a month with five users included (Teams); Enterprise, with unlimited users, is by quote. After the 30-day free trial it's a 12-month subscription that renews automatically. Leads are extra: the Advertising Package starts at $499 a month.

The bottom line: Houzz Pro is design and project software for remodelers and designers, sold as a yearly subscription. One user costs $199 a month. Teams starts at $399 with 5 users included and $50 for each extra: at 5 users Pro costs the same $399, so Teams is a feature upgrade, not a way to save on seats. Enterprise, with unlimited users, is by quote. The software doesn’t bring you leads: that’s the Advertising Package, from $499 a month on top.

What each plan includes

According to Houzz Pro’s pricing page:

  • Pro (one user): estimates, invoices and online payments, takeoffs, 3D floor plans, selections, bid management and budget management.
  • Teams (five users): everything in Pro, plus AI note-taking, a premium profile, email marketing, a custom website, Front Desk and Verified Caller (both beta) and dedicated support. “Additional charges may apply based on selected add-ons.”
  • Enterprise (unlimited users, price by quote): everything in Teams, plus unlimited 2D to 3D conversions, early feature access, a Houzz advertising discount, onboarding, a migration team and support.
  • Free plan: a basic plan with a 3D floor planner, estimates and invoicing, no credit card required.

What a year of Houzz Pro costs

Because the subscription runs for 12 months, a year is the real unit:

UsersProTeams (from)
1$2,388$4,788
3$3,588$4,788
5$4,788$4,788
8$6,588$6,588

Monthly price x 12, before sales tax and card fees. Houzz’s pricing page doesn’t say whether the yearly subscription is billed monthly or up front; ask before you sign up.

The lead side: the Advertising Package

Houzz sells visibility to homeowners separately: “Add an Advertising Package … Starting at $499/mo.” It’s a flat monthly package, not a price per lead. With Pro, software plus ads start at $698 a month, or $8,376 a year. To compare that with paying per lead on Thumbtack, Angi or Google, see what contractor leads cost.

Contract, renewal and cancelling

  • Free trial: 30 days. You can cancel during the trial “before your annual subscription begins”.
  • Automatic renewal: Houzz’s terms say your plan “WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW FOR SUCCESSIVE 12-MONTH TERMS” unless you tell Houzz before the current term ends.
  • How to cancel: by calling Houzz customer service or emailing its pro notices address, before the term ends.
  • No refunds: “all amounts payable to Houzz are non-refundable”, including “a partial month’s subscription”.

Card fees

Clients can pay through Houzz Pro by credit card, debit card or ACH bank transfer. Houzz doesn’t publish its card or ACH rates on its pricing or payments pages; it does publish instant payouts “for a 1% fee”. You can choose to absorb the fees, pass them to clients or build them into your markup. Before you pass them on, read the rules on card surcharges.

Houzz Pro vs Buildertrend

Buildertrend is construction project software for home builders and remodelers. Its pricing page offers unlimited users but no price: you answer a few questions and get a custom quote on a sales call. Houzz Pro publishes its prices: Pro is $199 a month for one user, and Teams starts at $399 with 5 users included. Only its Enterprise plan, with unlimited users, is quoted on request. Neither publishes its card rates on its pricing page.

Houzz Pro review: what the published terms tell you

We don’t collect user ratings, so this is a review of the price and terms, from Houzz’s own pages.

Strong points: published prices, a free plan and a 30-day trial, and design tools (3D floor plans, selections, mood boards) in the same subscription.

Weak points: a 12-month term that renews automatically with no refunds, a per-user charge beyond the users each plan includes, unpublished card and ACH rates, and leads only through a separate package from $499 a month.

Good fit: remodelers, designers and design-build firms that sell projects with drawings, selections and change orders.

Think twice if: you run repeat service visits (cleaning, lawn care, HVAC maintenance). Job management apps price for that and bill month to month; see field service software by crew size.

Common questions

How much is Houzz Pro per month?

Pro is $199 a month for one user, plus $50 a month per extra user. Teams starts at $399 a month with five users included, then $50 a month per extra user. Enterprise, with unlimited users, is quoted on request. Prices are monthly amounts on a 12-month subscription. The Advertising Package for leads is extra, from $499 a month.

How do I cancel my Houzz Pro subscription?

You can cancel any time during the 30-day free trial. After that, Houzz's terms say your plan renews for another 12 months unless you tell Houzz before the current term ends, by calling customer service or emailing its notices address. Amounts paid aren't refunded, including for a partial month.

What's the difference between Houzz and Houzz Pro?

Houzz Pro is Houzz's paid software for remodeling and design professionals: estimates, invoices, 3D floor plans, project schedules and client payments. Showing up in front of homeowners on Houzz is a separate Advertising Package, starting at $499 a month.

Is Houzz Pro worth it?

It depends on whether you use its design and project tools. For a remodeler or designer who needs 3D floor plans, selections and change orders, it is one subscription instead of several. For a service business that mainly schedules repeat visits, a job management app usually costs less and many bill month to month.
