What changes the answer
- Where you live. These are fees for US sellers selling in dollars. Depop charges sellers outside the US, UK and Australia a selling fee too.
- Sales tax. Depop’s processing fee counts it; the other two do not. Texas sellers also pay a state tax on part of Poshmark’s fee.
- Cheap items. Poshmark’s flat $2.95 under $15 is a big share of a small sale.
- Fee changes. Poshmark’s fee dates from October 24, 2024, Mercari’s from January 6, 2025, Depop’s boost rate from March 23, 2026. Depop does not date its US selling fee removal.
- Category and payment method. None publishes a different seller rate by category or by how the buyer pays.
Every fee, including cash-out costs, is on each app’s own page: Depop, Poshmark, Mercari. To weigh them against eBay, Etsy or your own store, put one sale through every platform.
