What Depop takes at four prices
| Item price | Depop takes | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| $10.00 | $0.99 (9.9%) | $9.01 |
| $25.00 | $1.49 (6.0%) | $23.51 |
| $50.00 | $2.31 (4.6%) | $47.69 |
| $100.00 | $3.96 (4.0%) | $96.04 |
| Item price | Depop takes | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| $10.00 | $2.19 (21.9%) | $7.81 |
| $25.00 | $4.49 (18.0%) | $20.51 |
| $50.00 | $8.31 (16.6%) | $41.69 |

Depop charges the processing fee once per transaction, so a bundle of several items pays the fixed part once.
The Boosted listing fee
Boosting is optional. You pay 12% of the item price only when a buyer saw the boosted listing and bought it within 28 days. Seeing it counts: the buyer does not have to click. The fee skips shipping when you use a Depop label.
That rate applies to listings boosted from March 23, 2026. Depop does not publish the rate for listings boosted before that date. Turning a boost off does not cancel the fee on a buyer who already saw it.
Who pays shipping
The buyer. With Depop Shipping, the buyer pays for the label and you print it or show a QR code at USPS. The processing fee still counts the shipping the buyer paid, so a heavier parcel costs you a little more. You can offer a shipping discount to win a sale, and that discount comes out of your side.
Fees that changed
Depop removed its selling fee for US sellers. Its fee page does not give the date. As part of the same change, it started charging buyers a marketplace fee, from July 18, 2024: up to 5% + up to $1 per order, shown at checkout. You do not pay it, but your buyer does, so the price they see at checkout is higher than your listing. The 12% boosting fee dates from March 23, 2026.
Getting paid
Money reaches your Depop Balance 2 business days after delivery or 10 business days after the sale. Withdrawing it to your bank can take up to 5 days. Depop’s US pages name no withdrawal fee and no instant option.
Depop, Poshmark or Mercari
On the same $50 item, buyer paying $6.49 shipping, no boost:
Depop keeps its edge until a sale is boosted: a boosted $50 sale leaves $41.69. See all three side by side in Depop vs Poshmark vs Mercari. Selling more than clothes? Compare eBay’s fees and Etsy’s fees, or put one sale through every platform.

Common questions
Does Depop charge a selling fee in the US?

How much does Depop take from a sale?
On a $50 item with $6.49 shipping, Depop takes $2.31 and you keep $47.69. On a $10 item it takes $0.99. If the sale came from a Boosted listing, add 12% of the item price.
What is the Depop boosting fee?
12% of the item price, charged only when a buyer saw your boosted listing and bought it within 28 days. It is not charged on shipping when you use a Depop label. Boosting is optional and you can turn it off at any time.
Does Depop charge fees on shipping?
The processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 is charged on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. The buyer pays for the Depop shipping label itself, so shipping costs you only that small share.
