The bottom line: Housecall Pro sells three plans with a fixed number of users: Basic for 1, Essentials for up to 5, Max for 8 plus $35 a month for each extra person. Most crews of 2 to 5 land on Essentials at $189 a month. You only need Max for more than 5 users, maintenance agreements, or Zapier and the open API. Card fees are a percentage with no fixed fee, and they rise to 3.49% for Amex and business cards. Housecall Pro serves the US and Canada.

Every Housecall Pro card fee

Housecall Pro charges a percentage of each payment, with no fixed fee. That makes it cheaper than a “2.9% + 30¢” rate on small invoices and slightly dearer on large ones.

Is Housecall Pro worth it?

Good fit: home service crews of 2 to 5 who take many payments in person, where 2.59% with no fixed fee beats most rivals.

Think twice if: you sell maintenance agreements (Max only), bill commercial customers who pay by business card (3.49%), or have 6 to 7 people (you pay for 8).

The alternative most people weigh: Jobber, which prices by team-size band instead of fixed caps. We compare the two at 1, 5 and 10 people in Jobber vs Housecall Pro.

Visit Jobber We may earn a fee if you sign up. It never changes the prices we show or what we recommend.

For a small trade crew: Tradify (from $47 a user a month) and Fergus (from $31 a user) price per person and include QuickBooks sync on their cheapest plans; Housecall Pro starts it on Essentials. Both are month to month with a 14-day free trial.
