HVAC software, priced with maintenance agreements

Maintenance agreements decide which plan an HVAC shop needs, and several apps keep them on the top tier: Housecall Pro has them only on Max, $329 a month against $79 for Basic. Here is the cheapest plan with agreements at every app that publishes one, priced for a 5-tech shop.

Updated October 26, 2026 How we check prices Published by Ian Chang We may earn a fee from some providers. It never changes the prices we show or what we recommend. How we rank

The short answer:

  • The agreements plan is the price that matters. Housecall Pro puts maintenance agreements on Max ($329 a month), Tradify on Plus, GorillaDesk on Pro, ServiceM8 on Growing, and Service Fusion on Pro or as a $149 a month add-on to Plus. ServiceTitan keeps memberships in The Works.
  • Our pick for a 5-tech HVAC shop: ServiceM8 Growing, about $8,568 a year with card fees. ServiceM8 charges by jobs a month with unlimited users, so a fifth technician costs nothing extra.
  • Card fees are the bigger number. At 50 invoices of $400 a month, Housecall Pro’s 2.99% online rate comes to $598 a month, more than its Max plan.
  • 4 apps that run agreements publish no price: ServiceTitan, Workiz, FieldEdge, Simpro. You only find out the cost on a sales call.

Is there free HVAC software?

ServiceM8’s Free plan covers 1 user and 30 jobs a month, enough to try it on real calls, but agreements start on Growing ($79 a month). Jobber and Housecall Pro offer 14-day free trials with no credit card.

ServiceTitan, FieldEdge and Workiz

These three sell through a demo, with no published price. ServiceTitan prices per technician and keeps memberships in The Works; Workiz keeps agreements on Ultimate; FieldEdge lists basic agreements on Select and advanced ones on Premier. Common questions

What is the best software for HVAC?

For a small HVAC shop, the best fit is the cheapest plan that runs maintenance agreements. At our 5-tech example, that is ServiceM8's Growing plan, because it charges by jobs a month, not by technician. ServiceTitan, FieldEdge and Workiz also run agreements but publish no prices, so you can only compare them after a sales call.

How much does HVAC software cost?

With maintenance agreements included, published plans start at $79 a month (ServiceM8 Growing, unlimited users). Housecall Pro needs its Max plan, $329 a month for up to 8 users. Card fees on your invoices usually cost more than the software. ServiceTitan, FieldEdge and Workiz quote a price after a demo.

Is there any free HVAC software?

ServiceM8 has a free plan for 1 user and 30 jobs a month, but maintenance agreements start on its Growing plan. Most other apps offer a free trial instead: Jobber and Housecall Pro for 14 days, with no credit card.

Does Jobber have maintenance agreements?

Jobber's pricing page doesn't say which plan includes service or maintenance agreements; we checked its plan table again on October 26, 2026. If agreements matter, ask Jobber which plan has them before you buy.
